Color Crush: Robin's Egg Blue

It seems like just about every week I have an obsession with a new color. (Although my love affair with green is ever present) This week I have been crazy about anything I can find (or create) in Robin's Egg blue. I can't seem to get enough of it.

While searching around for decorating ideas I came across those stunning lacquered boxes from Plantation Home and fell in love. I decided to use them as inspiration and make some of my own using a cheap little unfinished box from Michaels and another box I found hanging around our house that didn't match my style at all. After several coats of paint and two coats of glossy varnish I ended up with these.  I have some triple-thick spray glaze that I'm going to finish them with eventually, but it takes forever to dry so I haven't gotten around to it yet.
