Lately our days have gone like this: Between 9 and 10 am hubs comes home and passes out, I then try to be super quiet all day because we only have 3 rooms in our apartment and I don't want to wake him up. (Especially since he's already not getting enough sleep) He usually wakes up around 3:30 or 4 which gives us about an hour to see each other before he has to get ready, we eat dinner (at 5:30!), and he leaves for work at 6. I'll see him the next morning at 9 or 10 for about 30 seconds and then we do it all over again.
Last night I seriously needed to kick myself out of my funk (because sitting around feeling dumpy is just not fun) and I decided to do it with a little crafting. (Which for me is probably one of the best ways to brighten my mood.) Unfortunately, feeling blue doesn’t really lend itself to me coming up with fun creative ideas, but it did give me a chance to try out a cool 3D paper diamond DIY I came across a few months ago from minieco.co.uk. She has an easy to follow tutorial, plus a downloadable template she made.
I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with them yet, but I’m always trying to find fun random things to add to the shelves in our living room so maybe I’ll put my paper gems up there. I have kind of an obsession with making origami/3D paper things and most of them end up added to decor around our house - like the origami bow tie on this cute little pig.






Pinning (on Pinterest) is my favorite way to get out of a funk! I also love just laying on the living room floor with my dogs... Always make me feel better!
