Byzantine Floral Choker necklace online at Anthro and fell in love with the design. What I did not fall in love with was paying $58 for a necklace made of metal and plastic (yes, plastic). I realize in Anthro-land that's practically a bargain buy compared to some of their other jewelry, but still. Anyways, I absolutely knew I could come up with a DIY version and even had some beads that same green color.
I'm so happy with how it turned out! Here's how I made it.
I am much more of a visual person, so for these next few I tried to draw the path of the string so it's easier to see what I'm attempting to explain with words.
Then, put some glue on the back of the center bead and place the spacer bead across it. Let this dry long enough to form a strong bond before moving on.
BTW - I'm not sure why this necklace is called a choker, because it is about 19 inches long. So definitely not a super long, but too long to be a choker.
